Hey. I left East Craigs in 1997, I was an 'A'. I remember Ardeonig, the long walk to go swimming at Queen Margarets, and sports day. How different does it look now? Would be great to hear from anyone i knew then. School changed loads for me

This is a blast from the past. I "graduated" East Craigs in 1984... and some of my teachers (I had Mrs Gorrie in P5) are still there! It's nice to know that an Atlantic ocean and 3 kids later, some things never change too much.

I used to be a member of this school a long time ago, almost 8 years ago. I'm now in second year at Aberdeen University studying law. East Craigs has changed tons since the last time I saw it, but it looks like it is still going strong.

I attended East Craigs, I am now about to finish my first year at Queen Margaret University, studying business. East Craigs gave me the foundations to get where I am today. I have fond memories of everyone at the school, Especially the staff , Mrs Simpson, Ms McLaren, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Gorie, Ms McKenzie, Mrs McKenna , Mrs Bonthrone, Mrs Armstrong and Mr Casey.

Good Times!

I used to go to this school - I was in p5 and Mrs Bonthrone was my teacher. I moved down to England but I still always think about the good times I had at the school. When I left Mrs Bonthrone gave me a certificate and I have it on my wall. East Craigs is the best school I've ever been to. The website is fab - hello to any of my friends.

I used to go to this school - I was looking at the pictures and saw the one of Mr Finlayson , it looks just like him!

I remeber when the school used to have a girls football team and Mr Finlayson coached us.

There are a lot of new teachers but it's still the best school and always will be !!

I would like to say a great big "Thank You" to the parents and pupils at East Craigs for the very generous cheque I received on my retirement. At the moment I am still considering what I will use it for - it may be (in the tradition of East Craigs retirees) a painting, or I may well finally get up to date with an i pod!
The staff & children left me with wonderful mementos of my many years at the school, so I have lovely photos, poems & songs to remind me of you all.
My very best wishes to everyone for the future.

Wow, the new primary is looking awesome! Wish I still went there. I left in 1998, after 7 fun filled years.
Good to see Mrs Bonthrone is still there, she was the best teacher in my opinion!

East Craigs football team rocked!

Sitting in college, supposed to be working, but having a wee look through the site, brings back the memories.

Hello to all Staff and old classmates.

I would like to thank the Parents' Association for organising the collection for my retiral. My thanks also to all parents for their very generous gift.
I've put the money with the gift from the staff and purchased a painting by a local artist called Sarah Anderson. It's called Towards Arisaig and can be viewed on Morningside Gallery's website. Hopefully I should have it by 19 December and will bring it in for the staff and pupils to see.
I've enjoyed my 18 year 'stint' at East Craigs and the support of staff, parents and pupils. However, I've now begun a slightly slower pace of life but with some new interests and challenges to keep the brain ticking over!!
Very best wishes to you all for Christmas and 2006.

I like the school now that it has had an extension. Looks really good. Glad to see that the school is going from strength to strength. I have had 3 nieces and my own 2 children go to East Craigs. That covers about 20 years and with a new great nephew just born, our involvement with the school will go on for a few more years to come.

P7 ECO Group
21 April 2005 00:00:00
We have been very busy since we became the first ECO Group members in the school. We have worked on the courtyard after receiving funding from Grounds for Awareness.
We applied for a Bronze ECO Schools Award in May 2004 and were successful. The £250 we then received has helped us buy more plants for our sensory garden.
We have now 'handed the reins' over to the new committee who are P6 pupils.
We hope that they enjoy their year as ECO group members and wish them Good Luck!

Connor, Rebecca G, Amy and Bruce.
