 Mrs Joan McKenna

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that our wonderful learning assistant, Mrs Joan McKenna, passed away on Tuesday 28th April.

Joan joined the East Craigs staff in August 1995.  Our current Primary 7 children have been supported by Joan for the past 3 years, however she was known to all of our pupils throughout.

Joan was a very special person, whose patience and support for our pupils meant that she has touched the hearts of many children and staff over the years.  Memories of Joan’s fantastic sense of humour will make us smile in the days to come.

April 2009 News

Primary 1 - 2009/2010

The school has received confirmation from the Council that the decision on Primary 1 placements will be delayed.  Parents should hear by the 15th May which school their child will be attending.  The Council are requesting that parents do not contact the Placements department unless the enquiry is essential.  This is to enable the department to focus on completing the placing.  For more information please visit the Council's website by clicking here

Due to this delay, we will be unable to hold our P1 Welcome Evening next week as planned.  We have provisionally changed the date to the evening of 27th May and will confirm this with families as soon as possible.
